Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science focused on creating systems capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence. These tasks include reasoning, learning, problem-solving, perception, language understanding, and decision-making. AI systems designed to analyze data, recognize patterns, and adapt to new information without explicit human intervention for every decision.

AI can categorized into three main types: Narrow AI, which designed for specific tasks (like voice assistants or image recognition). General AI, which would possess human-like cognitive abilities across a wide range of activities (still theoretical). Superintelligent AI, which would surpass human intelligence (a hypothetical concept). Most current AI applications fall under Narrow AI.

Key techniques in AI include machine learning (where systems learn from data), deep learning (using neural networks to process complex inputs), and natural language processing (enabling interaction between computers and human language). AI widely used in industries such as healthcare, finance, transportation, and entertainment, driving innovations like autonomous vehicles, personalized recommendations, and medical diagnostics. Its goal is to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation in various domains.
