Out of all the books I’ve written, this one has taken the longest to write. Frankly, it took me almost 40 years. It goes way beyond what I’ve done with some of the other books. I have to acknowledge the people who helped in teaching me this material and who are helping me live it in my daily life. First and foremost is my wife, Anne. Some of my escapades have caused her much pain. I’m truly sorry for this. I’ve been away chasing my dream, sometimes for too long and too far away. She still loves me and I’m glad we are a team. She has taught me much about perseverance and faith.

Even after 23 years of marriage, I’m still nuts about her. Going on that blind date was the single best decision I’ve ever made. I learned the lessons in this book from many people who have entered my life.
